Many little girls anticipate the day they are finally allowed to have their ears pierced. For some girls, that day comes sooner than others, and for Laura Pfaff, owner and designer of EarZings, she felt this “rite of passage” should come with a certain age.  Earlier this year, at 7 years old, Laura’s oldest daughter had become extremely intrigued by jewelry and accessorizing, but found clip-on and magnetic earrings to be uncomfortable.  After numerous failed attempts with piercing-free earrings, Laura knew she had to figure out a way to create stylish piercing-free earrings that offered comfort that lasted all day. In Laura’s words, “what started as a way to pacify a persistent 7 year old turned in to the invention of a revolutionary new product that appeals to millions of girls, as well as grown women,” and thus EarZings was born.

Rather than putting immediate, non-adjustable pressure on the ear like all other piercing-free earrings, EarZings works by allowing the wearer to apply gradual tension on the ear by way of a spring. EarZings are currently offered in 12 styles that appeal to many ages and interests of girls. Next up, in 2014 Laura is adding a collection of dangle charms that can be added to the EarZings studs. She is also working on a more sophisticated line to appeal to adult women.

By following the 5 simple steps listed below, EarZings guarantees all day comfort from its earrings.

1. Before beginning, ensure that the white rubber grip is positioned 180° from the start of the EarZing spiral wire.

2. Hold EarZing by the motif with two fingers and thumb. With the other hand, stabilize earlobe by holding it between thumb and forefinger.

3. Slide EarZing onto ear with the white rubber grip against the back of the earlobe. Use thumb to position EarZing completely onto ear.

4. If necessary, slightly twist EarZing to fully secure to ear while maintaining an appropriate comfort level.

5. If the EarZing hurts or pinches, they are not on correctly! Repeat by starting at step 1 again.

Note: The EarZing wire is designed to be flexible, but do not severely stretch or bend wire as it might not bend back into position.
